Why Act Now
- The deadline is real. The DOJ's final rule under Title II of the ADA requires WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance for state and local government web content and mobile apps by April 24, 2026 for entities serving populations of 50,000 or more.
- Community colleges are in scope. The California Community Colleges system serves over 1.8 million students. Every district and college with a service area of 50,000+ must comply.
